PanaloKO Baccarat Third Card Rule: When Each Hand Draws

The baccarat third card rule decides, from the first four cards alone, whether either hand receives another card. You never make that call. The dealer follows the rule, and your only choices come before the cards are dealt. Baccarat natural: when no third card comes

Card values are the starting point: an ace is 1, the 2 to 9 count their face value, and 10, jack, queen and king are 0. A hand’s total drops the tens digit, so 9 + 9 = 18 becomes 8 and 8 + 7 = 15 becomes 5.

A baccarat natural is a two-card total of 8 or 9 on either hand. Pragmatic Play’s help lists three situations where the round ends after four cards:

1. The Player or the Banker holds a natural, 8 or 9.
2. One hand has 6 and the other has 7.
3. Both hands tie on 6, 7, 8 or 9.

Baccarat third card rule for the Player

The Player hand always acts first, and its rule is short.

If the Player stands on 6 or 7 and the Banker holds 0 to 5, the Banker must draw an extra card.

Baccarat drawing rules for the Banker

The Banker hand acts second, so its rule depends on the Player’s third card. The chart below reads from the same help text:

The 6 and 7 rows have the most surprising result: a Banker holding 6 draws only against a Player third card of 6 or 7. A Banker on 7 stands in every case.

Why you cannot change it

The rule is part of the game, not a choice at the table. Pragmatic Play’s help states that the dealer deals any additional card according to the Third Card Rule, and betting closes before the first card is revealed. Staking on Player, Banker or Tie is your whole decision.

Work through one round to see it. The Player holds 2 + 3 = 5 and draws a 6. The Banker holds 4 + 1 = 5. A Banker 5 draws against a Player third card of 4 to 7, so the Banker draws too.

What the rule means for your bets

1. Judge a bet by its payout and return, never by the cards you saw last round.
