Low Power Mode is the iPhone setting that trades some comfort for battery. If you play in a browser for a long stretch, it changes how long the screen stays awake and how much runs in the background. The full phone-side checklist sits in the PanaloKO mobile settings overview, and this page covers the one iPhone switch in detail.

The PanaloKO lobby is reached in the phone’s browser and offers English and Tagalog. Apple’s own support page for Low Power Mode is the source for every setting named below.

What Low Power Mode changes

Apple’s support page lists the things the mode reduces or turns off. The table groups them by what you notice while playing.

Change on the listWhat you may notice
Auto-Lock set to 30 secondsScreen locks sooner if you stop tapping
Display brightness reducedA dimmer lobby

iPhone Low Power Mode: where to switch it

Apple’s page gives the paths for iPhone Low Power Mode. Menu names differ by iOS version, so search Settings for “Low Power” if yours does not match.

  1. Open Settings and tap Battery.
  2. On newer iPhones, tap Power Mode, then switch Low Power Mode on.
  3. On older iPhones, switch Low Power Mode on directly in Battery.
  4. Or swipe down from the top-right corner and tap the battery icon in Control Center.

When you charge to 80 per cent or higher, Apple says Low Power Mode turns off by itself, and the battery icon is yellow while it is on.

When to switch it on or off during play

The 30-second Auto-Lock is the change that matters most in a game session. A slot round that waits for your next tap can outlast it, and the screen may lock.

SituationSuggested setting
Low battery, short sessionOn
Long session with the charger plugged inOff
Screen keeps locking mid-roundOff, or raise Auto-Lock in Settings

Android has its own version of this idea, covered in Android battery saver mode. If a page will not turn sideways, check screen rotation fixes before blaming the power setting. Mobile data limits are a separate switch, described under data saver settings.

Low Power Mode and the rest of the phone

Low Power Mode is one switch among several that shape a session. Apple’s page notes that 5G stays active for streaming and large downloads on iPhone 12 and 13, which means the mode is not the same as turning off the network. It also does not replace the lock-screen habits that protect your account when you put the phone down.

  1. Charge above 80 per cent before a long session, and the mode switches itself off.
  2. Raise Auto-Lock in Settings if the 30-second change interrupts a round.
  3. Switch the mode back on afterwards if the battery is low.

Search Settings for “Low Power” or “Auto-Lock” if your menu names differ.

FAQ

When does Low Power Mode turn off by itself?

Apple's support page says that when you charge the iPhone to 80 per cent or higher, Low Power Mode turns off. The battery icon is yellow while it is on.

Where is Low Power Mode on my iPhone?

Open Settings, tap Battery, then use the Low Power Mode switch. On newer iPhones Apple's page adds a Power Mode step. Menu names differ by iOS version, so search Settings for Low Power.
